Okay that's it - just bored and wanted to share my awesome creativity & photography skills ;) bahah.

Wet N Wild Spring 2012 Lipsticks!

I've had these for a month or two now, and just now getting around to reviewing them. If you've read my previous blog entries - you know I already LOOOOVE these lipsticks. I think they are great -- plus they're only $1.99 each?!

These are super bright & lovely! The Pinkerbell reminds me a lot of the Mac Nicki Minaj lipstick. Cherry Pickin is more of a bright darker fuchsia color more so than the color of a cherry. I really really like 24 Carrot Gold. It's such a bright color! I like to wear this with my Revlon Tutti Frutti lip butter over it for more moisture. Dollhouse Pink reminds me a lot of Lime Crime's Great Pink Planet.

I found these at my local Rite Aid -- but I know they also sell them at Walgreens & I believe CVS.
I'm not sure if these are just limited edition or a part of their permanent line. But I recommend these :)

Favorite Fall Lipsticks

My favorite fall lipsticks:
Lime Crime Coquette - $16
Revlon Super Lustrous - Primrose - $5-6
Covergirl - Sultry - $6
Nyx - Doll - $4-5
Nyx - Hebe - $4-5
Covergirl Queen Collection - Royal Plum - $6

Only one of these (Lime Crime) is a high end brand. But I love these!
The one that I wear the least is the Nyx Hebe just because it's red - and I don't really wear red. However, when I do - I wear this one! It's more of a wearable red more-so than a very bright and crazy looking red. I think it's wearable because it has like little shimmers of gold mixed with it so it tones down the crazy color a bit.

Also, if you like the color of the Lime Crime one - but don't want to spend $16 - I found a dupe of it & reviewed it here:

I just got the Primrose & the Royal Plum ones over the weekend. I normally don't really wear dark colored lipsticks - but I loooove this Royal Plum one. I'm also not sure why it's called Royal Plum? It's more like a dark crimson color with blue undertones to me. But I like it. I got a lip liner to wear with this one & it's Rimmel London's Exaggerate Lip Liner in Epic. These two go good together.
The Primrose lipstick is more of a sheer darker baby pink - if that makes sense? Haha. It's not like a really bright baby pink like colors you'd wear in the summertime.

The Doll lipstick is a really nice dark pink shade. It has blue undertones & looks nice :D

And for messy lipstick appliers like myself, I recommend using this Elf Lip Lock Pencil. It's clear - and you put it on the outside edges of your lips so when you do put your lipstick on & press your lips together - the color doesn't get all over the outsides of your lips! Plus, it's only $3 -- and they always have sales going on at eyeslipsface.com -- so you may could get it for $1.50 like I did mine :)

I really want to try out some high end lipsticks, but don't want to spend the money on them :( I don't mind spending my money on them if I really like them & would wear them mostly every day but I'm afraid I won't like them after I purchase them & that's like $15 wasted. Blahhh. So if you have any recommendations please let me know! :D

Lime Crime Coquette Lipstick Dupe / Review

I received my new Lime Crime Lipstick in the mail about 2 days ago, and this is what the color was suppose to look like:
www.limecrimemakeup.com

However, when I got it - it's not the pale pinkish nude that I thought it'd be like on their website. It's more of a beige nude - like a tan-ish nude. It's still a nice color - and I like it -- but I already have a lipstick like that :(

In fact, the color I already have like Lime Crime's Coquette is Revlon's Colorburst Soft Nude Lipstick.
Almost the same exact color! Sorry, I've used my Revlon Soft Nude quite a bit :P

Of course, Coquette is more pigmented than Soft Nude - but it should be - it's about $10 than the Revlon Soft Nude! If you've read my other review on my other Lime Crime Lipsticks, I really like those - but this one had a bit of a different texture - it doesn't go on as smoothly as the others I have (Cosmopop & Great Pink Planet). However, Revlon's Soft Nude - it goes on easier. But of course, you have to use more of the Soft Nude product to get as much pigmentation as Coquette.

Coquette looks really nice with about 2 layers on & a nice tanish/nude lipgloss to go over it. I do like Coquette, but I just thought it'd be a pinky-nude more so than a beige-nude.
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude (#070) = About $6
Lime Crime Lipstick in Coquette = $16

HALLOWEEN TUTORIAL: Sugar Skull !

I am just going crazy with all these Halloween looks! I can't help myself. I'll probably end up heading to Party City after Halloween to get all the Halloween makeup for 50-75% off! :) Anywayyy - I wanted to do a Sugar Skull because I love them & think they are neat! However, I didn't do all the artwork on my face like the normal sugar skulls have because it would look horrible if I would have. So I just made a simple, yet pretty one.

Here is what you'll need:

Brushes - Foundation brush, Eyeliner Brushes, Blush Brush, and an Eye Crease (or shadow) Brush
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
Halloween Cream Makeup in White & Black ($.97 at Wal-Mart)
Jesse's Girl Eye Dust in Antique Green
my own Thirtyonewest Eyeshadow in Octopus Ink
Lime Crime Lipstick in Great Pink Planet
1.) Apply the White Cream Makeup all over your face with your Foundation Brush. You at least have to do two layers of this - maybe even three.

2.) Draw an outline with your eyeliner brush of the eye sockets around your eyes (including your eyebrows) with the Black Cream Makeup and then fill them in.
* You may want to start out drawing the sockets at the eyebrows - it's easier that way.
Ahh, my face looks so fat here! Bahaha.

3.) Next, we're going to draw our nose! Using your eyeliner brush & Black Cream Makeup - draw half circles on each side of the front of your nose (does that even make sense?!). It's okay if it isn't even or is sloppy. Mine was very sloppy & uneven. Just dab some white on your finger and go over the uneven black marks.

4.) Color in your nose!
5.) I did my lips next. Some may want to wait and do this at the end -- but I wanted to do them now because I didn't want to have horrific looking ashy white lips for the rest of my pictures :)
Using your Lime Crime lipstick in Great Pink Planet - apply it to your lips (duh). Add a few coats to make it very vibrant so it'll stand out (& last longer).
Next, with your eyeliner brush, draw lines going out of the corners of your lips. After doing that - add little lines vertically through the horizontal line. Do this to your lips as well.
6.) We're going to contour our cheeks with black eyeshadow! I used the black eyeshadow out of my collection (Thirtyonewest) called Octopus Ink. Take your Blush Brush & start out at your ear and go down like 1-1.5 inch. Blend this well.
7.) Next, take the other end of your eyeliner brush & dab it into your White Cream Makeup like this:

& go around inside the corners of the black sockets you made.
8.) Do the same thing with the outer part of the sockets with the Black Cream Makeup.
9.) Now, using your Eye Crease Brush (or Eyeshadow brush) use the Jesse's Girl Eye Dust and pat (Yes, PAT - no blending or rubbing!) the green dust all over the inner corner of your eyelid.
After doing that, last thing you'll need to do is use your Nyx Black Bean Eye Pencil & apply it as eyeliner at your waterline.

Finished! :)

You like?!
I chose the antique green eye dust for the eyeshadow because - they're sockets. So there not suppose to be all bright and pretty. I just wanted to add a darker shadow on the inner corner to make it a bit prettier & glittery.

That's all for today. Adios fellerzzz!

Lime Crime Lipstick Review & Swatches + Thirtyonewest Eyeshadows!

I have had these for almost a month now - but I figure I'd do a review in my free time. I ordered these off of EBay because they're only $14.99 with free shipping - and on the website they are $16 + shipping. I also heard they take awhile to ship out since they are super busy - and I was kinda in a hurry to try these babies out ;)

Here are the the colors I got:

Yeah, I'm Instagramin' everything on my iPhone, ha! Anyway, the great barbie pink color is the 'Great Pink Planet' & the light orange is called 'Cosmopop'.
There are my swatches - as you can tell these are SUPER pigmented and eccentric colors.
& here is me wearing them both! I really like these lipsticks. They're really great and pigmented! They last long as well. The only things I am not too crazy about is when they do start to wear off - it leaves the bright pigmentation on the outside of your lips :/ & these colors are matte -- so they show up fine lines & imperfections well. I like to add gloss on top of these.

Here are some images of my new Thirtyonewest brand loose eyeshadows
I'm also wearing my Lime Crime lipsticks here:
Lime Crime Cosmopop & Thirtyonewest Goldilocks
Lime Crime Great Pink Planet & Thirtyonewest Cleopatra
Lime Crime Great Pink Planet & Thirtyonewest Sugar Pot

I have added 4 new colors to our eyeshadow collection about 3 weeks ago  - which makes that 11 total colors. I have 4 new colors that I am wanting to create - but I don't have any extra money to order the supplies to make them. I've been bad and spending all my money! Today Joshua & I went to Target and I got him 2 new blu-rays - the new X-Men movie & Everything Must Go & then I got myself some Elf (eyeslipsface) products that they had on sale that I just had to get.

Anywayyyy - to wrap this blog entry up, I have come to the conclusion that I do love Lime Crime's lipsticks! I really want to get the Coquette nude color & the Centrifuchsia (sp?)! I also want to try the D'Lilac color with a bright pink lipgloss on top - I think it'd look different - but not too dramatic. However, I do not think I will be purchasing any yellow, blue, or mint colored lipsticks for myself :)
