Zelda Skyward Sword Review

Okay, so I know this game came out this past November - but I haven't played it since Decemeber :P... Until this past week..

I got stuck on one part in the Earth Temple & was frustrated & didn't play it for like 3 months lol. Sad, I know - but I get that way sometimes. But here lately, I've been so into playing this game - I can't stop!

Zelda Skyward Sword is a great game. I still haven't beaten it yet - I am currently located in the Lanayru Mining Facility. The artwork in this game is like a mixture between Wind Waker & Twilight Princess. It's like a watercolor effect & it looks just lovely. The graphics are great for a Wii game! The story line is basically the same - you need to find Zelda.. etc, etc. But the gameplay is a bit different than other Zelda games in my opinion. In Ocarina of Time, you have to run (or roll) around Hyrule & go around on foot to get to where you need to be -- which sometimes takes FOREVER. However, in this Zelda - you can actually run! You do have a stamina meter thing - so you can only run around in short bursts at a time. But it's much more handy than having to walk/roll to your destinations. Next, it is kind of like Wind Waker in the sense that you have to travel around to the different areas. In Wind Waker, you traveled by boat. In Skyward Sword - you travel around on your bird by flying to the area below. Also, in this game - you have almost all the same weapons/tools you have in the other Zelda games - bomb flowers, sword, shield, & the slingshot. The only thing you do not have is the boomerang. However, they replaced it with something much better (in my opnion) -- the Beetle. You shoot this little device into the air to hit certain switches & later in the game you upgrade to the 'Hook Beetle' where you can grab bombs & drop them on enemies. You also do not have Navi following you around annoyingly in this one. You have this sword goddess or something named Fi. She can be annoying at sometimes too though. Not near as bad as Navi. Also, no Ganon in this one! The bad guy in this game is Ghirahim. The one problem with this game that a lot of people have is that you can only use motion controls - no classic controls here. I believe they should have made the option to choose which you'd like to use for those who have issues using the motion controls. However, I personally do not have a problem with the controls - I think they are great. You actually have to slice your enemies up instead of pressing buttons -- which can make your arms kinda sore  -- but its worth it in the end! I think it's fun anyway.. if you're a fan of the Zelda series such as I am -- this is definitely worth your time & money.

That's all I have for now since I have yet to complete this game. But hopefully I will in the next couple of weeks - because I have literally been playing a ton!

Weekend Haulage

Sorry for my lack of posting blogs.. I've been quite the busy bee. I have been working a lot more than I normally do, and only have 1-2 days off every week, plus - I have been slacking on my school work :( I still have yet to submit my second unit and it's been over a month! I feel so overwhelmed right now. I need to do my school work but on my days off I just feel like being lazy :(
However, today was one of my days off - and I decided to go through my room and get rid of some stuff & sell it on EBay! :) Woowoo Success!! .. Somewhat :/ lol

Anyway, I placed yet another Elf order the other week and it finally came in on Friday - and here's what I got:
I had a coupon for 50% off the Studio Line -- so most of this was 50% off.

Here are some of the newer Elf products they have! They have added quite a few new little items to their Essentials ($1) Line - however, they are not $1 - they're $2. I picked up one of their new cover everything concealers & glitter eyeshadows. They also had a new Kohl liner from their Studio Line that I picked up as well as the High Def Undereye Setting Powder & Mineral Powder Brush!

I got all of the Studio Glossy Glosses to try out - and almost all of the Matte Lip Colors & a few of the Glitter Glosses. At my local Target - they also had a collection of their new nail polishes that I picked up for $5 & their limited edition $3 palettes that I picked up as well!

And I also ordered this from EBay this past week & it came in on Friday as well. This is the Kryolan Ultra Base in Mint. I got this to cover up acne to cancel out the redness in clients. Yep, I finally purchased something for my makeup kit! First time in awhile..

I also found all my Nintendo DS games this weekend! I have them all in a little travel case thingy and couldn't find it for like months - then I searched in a few of my purses I'd previously used and sure enough - they were in a purse I carried about 6 months ago! So I've been getting into playing my Nintendo Ds again -- well, 3DS. And I now want to build onto my DS collection - because I don't have too many games for it :/

So this weekend I picked up De Blob 2 on sale for $5 at Target! I wasn't sure if I'd like this game or not, but it was only $5. But surprisingly, I do like this game. It's actually really fun - just rather easy. Kind of reminds me of the way a Kirby or Mario game would play.

I also picked up this Gameboy color - which doesn't work :( I found that out after purchasing it at a yard sale for $2. It cuts on - but it like freaks out and the screen goes out sometimes. Oh well, still a nice piece to my collection.

I also went to GameStop & found this Zelda Four Swords Adventure game for GameCube! This game is in the org. case & has the manual with it for only $14.99! This made my day when I found it. I have never played this game before - not even on the GBA - so I had to pick it up since I love Zelda oh so much! :D

But that's about it lately. Just buying things I don't really need and such. Being a procrastinator & not doing homework. Yep. I should probably start reading my new textbook and finish it tomorrow before work. Let me know if you want me to do a review on any of the products I have listed in this review!
Hope you all have a wonderful week :D

Zeldaaaaa! Skyward Sword is GREAT!

All I've been doing all day since I've got off work is playing Zelda. I can't stop! :( Even though I said I'd do a blog possibly today on vintage outfits of mine -- sorry, I have yet to take any pictures because I've been engrossed in ZELDA!  :D But that blog entry will come one day soon (maybe? :P).
This game is great. The graphics are really nice as well (like Twilight Princess for Wii!). Currently, I am only 4.17 hours in - and my boyfriend told me today that there are 100 hours! Whattt?! Haha. This game will be endless for me. Especially since I get very frustrated with things easy. I have already gotten frustrated with one part of this game at the beginning! Ha. I got annoyed with the 'Wing Ceremony' thing - I couldn't get the fucking statuette thing - I finally got it on my third try.

Anyway, I'm just blabbing on about a game that you probably don't care about. So, for that - I shall go!
If you like the previous Zeldas (Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Majora's Mask) - you would most likely like this one as well! So I definitely recommend it! Plus, the game comes with an awesome gold Zelda remote with the Triforce on it :D

My Lame Weekend

I'm completely bored & I need to write a new blog but I don't know exactly what to blog about? So I'll blog about my weekend! Saturday I went shopping - & I went to the Goodwill Clearance Center & the mall. I'm really bad about getting tons of things not for myself at Goodwill. So this time when I went, I decided to get everything for myself. I ended up getting a ton of different vintage pieces to add to my closet - and I only spent $15! Tons of cute granny sweaters & cardigans - my favs! :D At the mall, I ran to Sephora & Mac. I got a Benefit sampler thingy from Sephora & a lipstick and matching lip liner from Mac.
All my mall goodies :)
I picked out the color 'Chatterbox' for my lipstick & the Mac lady picked out 'Soar' lip liner to match it - since I'm horrible at lip liners & such. I just now started getting into testing out and messing around with lip liners - so I don't really know much about what color goes with what, etc, etc.

Today, my boyfriend brought me a surprise !
ZELDAAAAA! I totally forgot that the new Zelda came out today! And he surprised me with it! :D :D Big smilez! I would be playing it right now instead of blogging about my lame weekend, but - it's late - and I've been working a lot more than I normally am - and I'm soooo tired :( I'd get to into it & would never want to quit! But tomorrow is my day off & I'll just play it all day :)

I want to take photos of all my Goodwill stuff I got this weekend & take pictures of me 'modeling' them & how I wear and mix vintage clothing with modern clothing. So maybe that will be my next blog entry? Something at least a bit more interesting than this one!Who knows.

Goodnight lovies!

Zelda: Twilight Princess - Midna Inspired Eyeshadow Tutorial

On a roll again with this 2 blogs in 1 day! Woohoo! Anyway, I'm off work today & got bored and decided to do a Halloween makeup look. I want to paint my face or do some kind of crazy makeup for Halloween & go out - so I was just testing a few that I'd like to do! If you've read my other blog posts, you know that I loooove Zelda! So I googled a bunch of the Zelda characters & tried to find one that had makeup on that I could try to mock. I came across Midna from Twilight Princess & decided on her!
.
^ Midna, of course.

Here's the products you'll need:
Elf Cream Eyeliner in Black ($3)
Beauty Rush Wet/Dry Eyeshadow in Plum Crazy ($7)
Maybelline Line Stiletto in Black ($6-7)
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes ($5)
& eyeliner brushes & an eyeshadow brush!

* The only reason you'll need the makeup wipes is for mess ups - which I happen to make a lot of.

Okay..
1.) You'll need to cover your whole eyelid in the Plum Crazy eyeshadow. Go all over & up to the beginning of the eyebrow. Be sure to get up high in the inner corner of your eyelid too! -- Sorry, I don't know the correct eye terms :P
2.) Get your gel liner & draw an outline of a really high winged eyeliner look.
You'll be making it go a little higher than the outline - but that's what the liquid liner is for :)

3.) Fill in the outline with your gel liner.

4.) Starting at the outter corner of your eye (be sure to connect the top wing to the bottom line) - go along the bottom of your waterline with the gel liner.

^ My oh my, I'm so horrible at giving directions! I hope this makes sense :/

5.) Fill in your eyebrow with the gel liner.
Don't mind my overly hairy brows. I know I need to trim them, okay? lol
6.)Touch up the rough edges with your liquid liner. You'll also want to go in the corner of your eye with the liquid liner. Also, draw the eyebrow down a bit with the liquid liner. Extend the wing of your outer gel eyeliner just a little farther as well!
Make your drawn in eyebrow a bit thicker than your normal eyebrow.

Finished!

You like? I hope so! Sorry I only took one-eye pictures. I got lazy and only ended up doing just one eyeball just to test it out lol. Lazy bones, I know!

Also, this look will look better with some mascara. I just didn't add any because I knew I'd be wiping it right off as soon as I did this post. The only kind of mascara I have is a high-end mascara & I don't want to waste it :P

I'm not too sure why I put my blog name on all of the pictures? Like everyone is going to steal them or something haha. I'm sure people would love to take my hairy eyebrow pictures. I guess I did it out of habit from where I do it on my Tumblr. Oh wells!
That's all for today! I hope you all (whomever may be reading) liked this post!
