I beat Alice!

I finally beat Alice Madness Returns! Woohoo -- first game I beat on my new PS3 I got at the end of this past April! :) I absolutely loved this game. I did a review on this game already & you can read about it here

Sooo happy (and yet kind of sad) that I beat it! I already want to play it again :P
Hmmm, which games to play next?
Either Assassin's Creed II, 3d Dot Game Heroes, or Folklore since I've already touched a bit on those :)

Summer Favorites -- Lip Products

I did a fall favorites lipsticks post -- so I figured I'd do one for summer as well -- except this time include all my favorite lip products (not just lipsticks - glosses, balms, etc.). I have a ton of items that I really like for the summer, and I couldn't shorten the list.. so here goes!..

First up are my favorite Wet N Wild lipsticks! I picked out the colors Think Pink, Just Peachy, 24k Gold (I think), & Dollhouse Pink.
As you all know from multiple previous blog posts that I am amazed by these beauties :D I love them oh so much -- and these just happen to be my summer favorites! I wear the hell out of Think Pink & Just Peachy -- and if I'm feeling bold I'll wear the others.

Next I have my favorite balms. I picked out (from bottom going to the top) Revlon Balm Stains in Charm & Darling, Maybelline Baby Lips in .. I can't remember the name but it's the Peach one, & the Elf Conditioning Lip Balms in Nice & Natural and Peaceful Pink.
I love all of these -- I think they're all great products & they'll keep your lips nice & moisturized for the summer.

I've been wearing lip liners as full lip colors here lately. However, since they are extremely drying -- I never wear them alone. I always wear a tiny bit of gloss on top.
From left to right -- Jesse's Girl Lip Liner in Melon with Elf's Glossy Gloss in Wild Watermelon, Elf's Mineral Lip Liner in Peachy with Elf's Glossy Gloss in Tangy Tangerine, & Elf's Matte Lip Color in Natural with Elf's Glossy Gloss in Sweet Salmon.

Really liking all of these. I really really like the Elf Matte Lip Colors. I have all but one of them -- but for some reason I'm hooked on this one paired with the gloss. It's like an enhanced natural look for your lips. Makes them look pretty & plump ;) I love it!

I have two Revlon products I've really been liking. I don't wear these together though.. just put them in the same picture lol. I picked out the Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti & Revlon Colorburst (I believe?) Lipgloss in Papaya.
I love this lip butter! I did a review on it here. I recently picked up this lipgloss because I found it on sale at my local Rite Aid for 75% off! So I ended up paying like $1.87 for it. This lipgloss is extremely pigmented & looks great by itself.

Lastly I have my mixed brands of lipsticks. I picked..
Mac's Viva Glam Nicki, Mac's Creme De Nude (spelling?), Rimmel Kate Moss 12, Covergirl's Fairytale, Revlon's Primrose (was also a Fall fav), Maybelline's Sensational Porcelain Collection lipsticks Porcelain Pink & Flawless Fuchsia (these are limited edition).

I just got these Maybelline lipsticks yesterday, but I already really like them. I plan on doing a separate review on those. Covergirl's Fairytale is such a unique & pretty color. It's like a light pinkish red color for those of you (like myself) who don't like the way bright red lipstick looks on you -- this is a perfect alternative.

I know that's a ton of favorites -- but I just though I'd share them & the swatches with you guys so you can go out and purchase ones that you like :)

New Elf Baked Blush, Eyeshadow, & Bronzer + GIVEAWAY!!

I placed a rather large order on eyeslipsface.com last Thursday & I got it in the mail today! I saw that they had new baked items from their Studio Line! So I got every new baked blush they had, 2 out of 3 of the bronzers, and only 1 of their new baked eyeshadows. I wanted to do a quick little opening/mini review of these!

All of these products are $3 each. However, I used a coupon and got 50% off so I only paid $1.50 per product. You should always google coupon codes for Elf before ordering!

Okay first up, the blushes! I was so excited to see these! When I saw them online they kind of reminded me of Mac's Mineralized Skin finishes. Here's what I think about each of these:

Pinktastic: This isn't really a blush -- but an awesome highlight. It's a very pretty glittery creamy/white color.

Passion Pink: A pinky color. Very very shimmery, but it's a very pretty coraly pink color.

Peachy Cheeky: I was most excited about this blush in particular. I actually like this blush the best out of the 4 personally. It's a very nice shimmery peachy color. Nicely pigmented. Love it!

Rich Rose: Probably the least pigmented out of the 4 blushes. I still do enjoy this blush (or of what I swatched of it anyway)! It's like a dark rosy/brownish pink color. Very pretty.

So all of these blushes are super shimmery. They all also have veining of multiple colors through them.

Next up, bronzers. I was pretty excited to test these out as well -- but I am a little disappointed with these.

St. Lucia: This doesn't do anything for me what-so-ever. It's not dark at all -- and it's not light enough to even be a highlight on myself. It may be a nice highlight for a tan/medium skin tone -- but definitely not a bronzer. I don't even think this could be a bronzer for pale skin!

Maui: This one is a little bit darker -- still not dark enough for a bronzer for me :( It's a very nice shimmer though. I may use these as highlighters once I get tan.

I probably should have gotten the darkest color of the bronzers, but I thought that it'd be too dark for my skin :(

Lastly, the eyeshadows.I only picked up one of these because I don't really like baked eyeshadows. They never seem to be as pigmented as I'd like them to be.

Bark: I was actually very surprised by this eyeshadow! I love it! It's very pigmented. I actually wore this one to work today over a Mac Paint Pot -- and it lasted all day without creasing & fading. I now want to get all of the other baked eyeshadows to try them out. I honestly thought these would be horrible -- but this specific shade (can't really speak for the other shades) is extremely pigmented & lovely.

GIVEAWAY!
I purchased an extra blush to giveaway! I picked out the Peachy Cheeky for my giveaway.
Interested in winning? All you have to do is Follow my blog & leave a comment below letting me know you're interested in entering!
This contest IS international as well & will end July 1, 2012. I will post an entry with the randomly selected winner!

So overall, I really like the blushes & eyeshadows. Not too much of a fan for the bronzers.. but I'm sure once I find a use to them, I will love them. They're nice and pretty colors -- but just not for my skin tone.
Have you guys tried out any of the new Elf products? I also got the Mineral Mist & a few other goodies -- i'll do a separate post on those if interested. But for now, it's rather late & I'm superrrrr tired :( Goodnight lovies!

REVIEW: Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain

Once I saw everyone trying these out, I wanted to try a couple as well. I went to Rite Aid first which didn't currently have them in stock. Then I went to CVS but they only had the dark uglier colors I wasn't interested in. THEN, I went to one of my local Wal-Marts (I have 3 that I go to), and they were all sold out, even the uglier darker colors... FINALLY I went to my second local Wal-Mart & found them all there! They must have just set them out or something because they had all the colors. I picked up the colors Charm & Darling.

Normally when it comes to balm, like the Revlon Lip Butters -- I tend to go a little darker than I'd normally wear since they are rather sheer. However, I really really wanted the Charm color which is a pastel peachy nude color. I thought this would be really sheer on my lips -- but it's not. It's not as pigmented as say a lipstick is, but you can tell I have some color on my lips. I got Darling since it was a rather odd lavender pinky color because I knew it wouldn't be true to it's color.. and it's not. Its really pretty and wearable. I really enjoy both of the colors I picked up.

 Me wearing Charm

 Me wearing Darling

What I Think: To be honest, I was scared to spend the money on trying these out. I thought it would be a rather odd product that Revlon invented. Balms and Stains are completely different from one another & to put them together is... different. But somehow, it worked. I really liked the sheer color payoff of these two that I picked up. I wear them to work a lot because they last for awhile and the color doesn't wear off so easily such as a lipstick so I don't have to re-apply the product as much. These are moisturizing, but not too moisturizing like a regular lip balm. The color of the stain is very lasting. But if you're looking for a really pigmented product out of these -- then you'll be disappointed. I knew these would be sheer though, and that's why I wasn't sure if I'd like them -- but i'm very surprised that I like them as much as I do. These are self sharpening by the way, which is very convenient.

I would definitely recommend you try these out. They are rather pricey (well, for my cheap ass anyway) at about $8 at Wal-Mart -- but I think it's a well spent $8.

REVIEW: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment Concealer

I got this a few months ago -- I think in March? It was in my March favorites. I really really love this product. I picked up mine from Wal-Mart for around $7-8. Let's get to the basics :) ..

I don't have any other makeup on in this picture btw ;)

Packaging: Sucks. It's convenient how it has the sponge applicator at the top, but it's messy. As you can see in the picture, mine has gotten all over the inside of the lid. Also if I wanted to add this item to my kit, I wouldn't be able to because there is no way of sanitizing it :( You can also notice in the picture that there is some product stuck on the little spiral thingy that moves downward that I will not be able to use (if that makes sense?). I've heard a lot of people saying their product packaging broke -- but I have yet to have that problem.

How I Apply It: I start from the inner corner of my eye & blend it with my finger all the way underneath my eye. Then after blending, I add some more to the darker part of my under eye & pat it out till it's blended for better coverage.
Overall Opinion: I really like this product. It actually works. I have extremely dark under eye circles and normally liquid concealers do not cut it for me. I normally have to use kind of thick creamy concealers. I was kind of sketchy about trying this product out.. but I'm glad I did. It covers up my circles, and since this is a treatment concealer, overtime it lightens up your dark circles! No shit, it really works! I can tell a difference in the color of my under eye after the few months that I've been using it. This product actually lasts for a while as well. I've had it since March & it's currently June -- and I still have about half of the product left & I use it every single day.

I recommend this product if you have problems with under eye darkness.. I am really surprised with the outcome of this product. It works so good that the bad packaging doesn't really bother me.

Sally Girl Eyeshadow Haul & Swatches

Since I haven't purchased too many makeup items lately, I figured I'd go out today and spend some money on some cheap products. I've purchased Sally Girl eyeshadow before -- like wayy before I was even into makeup & what not and I had two colors I wore the same way, everyday. Lol. But I figured I'd give them another shot to see what I think about them now that I actually know about makeup and have tried many brands. I haven't tried them out just yet, as I just got them today -- but I will do a review if anyone is interested! I got 10 eyeshadow colors & 1 baked eyeshadow. I also picked up an eyeliner from Sally Beauty I picked up as well.

Okay so these are $.99 each -- they come individually and you can snap them together into a palette of however many you'd like. I happened to make palettes of 5 :)

Okay so first up I connected all of my shades from lightest to darkest. The colors I picked up were: Snow, Gun Metal, Champagne, Coral, & Bronze.

All of these I like. They are very pigmented, especially for $.99 each! Champagne is a gorgeous highlight color :)
I've heard Champagne was a good dupe for Mac's Shroom & Bronze was a good dupe for Mac's All That Glitters. I personally don't know if they are or not because I don't own either of them. Just thought I'd throw that fun little input in there ;) lol. I plan on getting Mac's All That Glitters though for my kit, so I will be able to compare those 2 once I get it :D

Next colors I picked up were: Mauve, Cinnamon, Chocolate, Auburn, and Teal.

I really like these colors as well. Chocolate is probably my favorite purchase. It's a unique brown color. It has a unique sheen to it, I don't really know how to explain it -- but you should pick it up & try it yourself for only $.99! :) Teal was a bit less pigmented than I thought it would be -- but it's still a pretty color.

Good first impressions from these eyeshadows. I can't wait to use them :)

Next up I only picked out 1 baked eyeshadow because I purchased the silver one last summer and it wasn't pigmented what-so-ever. I really hated it. But I figured I'd give another color a shot.. so I picked up a pretty aqua green color. They don't have names like the other shadows for some reason, they only have numbers.

This one isn't too pigmented either -- but it's more pigmented than the silver one I had. I actually do like this one. Even though the color isn't as vibrant as it is in the pan -- it's still a pretty color. I got this to use under my waterline to make my eyes look really blue.

Lastly, I picked up a white eyeliner because I needed one. I've been using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk for my eyeliner, but I was having trouble with my eye hurting and feeling funny after using it -- so I stopped. I don't know if that is the reason why my eye was feeling odd, but I stopped and it quit hurting. So hopefully this eyeliner will work well & not aggravate my eyes.
It's the Beautique Eyeliner in White. It was $1.99 from Sally's Beauty.

So that's all I purchased today! Let me know if you'd like to see reviews on any of these products :)
Have a great day lovelys <3 <3

Nail Polish Haul!

Okay so I've been kind of obsessed with nail polish at the moment. For the past few weeks I've been purchasing all colors & brands of nail polishes & keeping up with my nails :) I'm terrible at biting my nails, so keeping my nails painted actual help me not bite them so much. I still get a nervous tick & decide to nibble at my nails a little -- but not near as much :)

Anyway, back to the point of this post, the past 2 days I've purchased a few nail polishes & just decided to post a haul entry for you guys :)

Okay so I wanted to start with this polish -- and this is the only polish I took an individual picture for because I REALLY wanted this polish. It's the Claire's brand nail polish in 'Candy Shop'. Omggggg, this nail polish is great! I saw someone on YouTube who had the Deborah Lippmann 'Candy Shop' nail polish & I fell in love with it and just had to have it. But i looked it up on EBay and it was going for like $20 :( So me being the cheap ass that I am decided to look up dupes for it & I came across the Clarie's Candy Shop. This nail polish was $5 & they had a sale going buy one get one half off. It's a super glittery nail polish with a sheer pink base. I love it!

I also picked up this neon sheer glittery nail polish from Clarie's called ' Hi-Lite Me'. I just got this because it was 50% off (org. $5) and there wasn't any other color I was really interested in. But when I swatched this -- I actually really like the color.

Next I picked up the Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect nail polish in 'Sorbet' & the Revlon Colorstay clear Top Coat. I got these at Wal-mart. The Smooth & Perfect was $5.24 & the Revlon Top Coat was $4.97. I have yet to try the 'Sorbet' out. I've heard it's suppose to be more 'breathable' for your nails -- but I haven't tested it out yet. Maybe if I like it i'll do a review about it. It's a very sheer peachy color. It's a bit more sheer than I expected it to be, but I can layer it. And the Revlon top coat is -- well, a Top Coat lol. I needed a top coat in my collection, so I just decided to invest my money into Revlon because it's my favorite drugstore brand :)

Yesterday I picked up the Revlon Scented nail polish in 'Strawberry Cream' & Wet N Wild's 'I Need a Refresh-mint'. I got these at Rite Aid. I paid $4.79 for the scented Revlon one & $1.99 for the Wet N Wild one. The Revlon 'Strawberry Cream' is a really pretty color. I really like all the colors from the Revlon scented line & want to pick them up. When I smelled the polish to see if it actually smelled like Strawberry Cream -- it just smelt like nail polish to me lol. But I smelt it again once I did the swatch & you can actually smell the Strawberry in the swatch :) I picked up the Wet N Wild because I heard it was a dupe for China Glaze's 'For Audrey'. I really like the baby blue color of this polish. I have many Wet N Wild nail polishes & I personally love them all. They're very cheap & work nicely.

Lastly, last night once I got off work my boyfriend and I went to Walmart & he told me to pick out a few gifts. So I picked out a couple of lipsticks & nail polishes. The polishes I picked out were the Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear in Grey Area & Revlon Colorstay in 'Bare Bones'. The 'Grey Area' was $2.58 & the 'Bare Bones' was $4.97. I really like the swatches I did of these :)

That's about it for my nail polish haul! What nail polishes have you guys been digging lately? I love to see what other people are using & currently in love with :)

Benefit High Beam Dupe!

Sorry it's been awhile since I've been on here :P I haven't really been into makeup and all lately - therefore I haven't been purchasing any which leads to me having nothing to review/talk about. But I've had this product for awhile and realized that it's pretty much an exact duplicate so I figured I'd share with you guys! :)

I have a mini size bottle of the Benefit's High beam. The full size bottle retails for about $28 I believe at Sephora. Well, I've already done a review for Elf's Body Shimmer which you can see HERE -- and one of these Elf Body Shimmer sticks matches High Beam exactly.

The Elf Body Shimmer stick is called Mystic Moonlight. Obviously, the texture is different than High Beam. High Beam comes in a liquid form and the Mystic Moonlight comes in a solid cream form. But the color payoff is like a perfect match. Same color, same shimmer - everything. I find that the High Beam is easier to blend than the Mystic Moonlight -- but that isn't a big deal to me when the Mystic Moonlight is $3 compared to High Beam's $28.

I'm not saying that I do not like High Beam -- because I do. It's a great product! But it's a bit pricey for me and I can't go and repurchase 34384347 bottles of it. So Elf's Body Shimmer stick in Mystic Moonlight is more my type since it's only $3. Plus Elf always has sale coupons floating around on the internet so you can probably pick it up for half off ;)

Hope you enjoyed this review & I'm going to try and post more -- I promise! I have tons of new things coming up that I am looking forward to blogging about :)
